Did you notice some changes in you face shape while wearing aligners?

So, I’ve been wearing aligners for a few months, and I swear my face looks different. My jawline seems more defined, and I’m not sure if it’s the aligners or if I’m just imagining it. Has anyone else noticed changes in their face shape since starting aligners? I didn’t think they’d affect more than just my teeth, but now I’m curious.

I’ve been wearing aligners for about six months, and my face looks a bit different too. My cheeks seem less puffy, and my jawline is a bit sharper. I asked my orthodontist, and he said that moving your teeth can definitely impact the structure of your face, especially if you’re adjusting your bite or alignment. It’s subtle, but I think it’s definitely a real thing.

I thought I was imagining it, but my friends actually pointed it out too. I think as my teeth move, my jaw looks a bit more pronounced, especially from the side. I had a slight overbite before starting aligners, and as that’s been correcting, it’s like my whole lower face has shifted. I didn’t expect it at all, but I kind of love the change!

I asked my orthodontist about this because I started noticing changes too. He explained that even small adjustments in tooth alignment can affect the way your jaw sits and, ultimately, your facial structure. It’s not as drastic as braces or jaw surgery, but aligners can definitely give you a bit of a different look, especially around the jaw and cheeks. Mine feels a bit more defined, which has been a nice surprise!
